Character Information
*Character Name: Ginrai (unfortunately, whether that’s a first name or last is never actually revealed)
*Character Canon: Transformers: Super-God Masterforce (cartoon)
*Age: Adult (human, probably in his early twenties)
*Race: Human/Godmaster
*Timeline/Pull Point: Just prior to Masterforce episode 16, “Lightfoot: A Dramatic Encounter” Ginrai will have acquired his trailer and super-mode, but not yet met any of the other Godmasters.

*History: (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Ginrai#Super-God_Masterforce_cartoon

*Personality: Ginrai is, in general, a bit of a contradiction. Despite having left his home in Japan because he felt constrained by Japanese society and its focus on roles, tradition, and following orders and finding the atmosphere overall too crowded and stifling, he has an uncanny knack for making friends easily and generally seems to possess a sunny and upbeat disposition, usually taking an optimistic stand.

More importantly, in spite of his strong individualistic streak and stated protest of “disliking chains of command”, Ginrai has strong leadership instincts and a strong sense of responsibility and duty. He’ll gladly risk his life for his friends or for anyone in need with hardly a second thought otherwise. He did, briefly, wish to stay out of the Transformers’ war, but quickly saw that he could not and became fully committed to protecting the Earth.

Ginrai does possess a sense of humor (as noted, for example, when he suggested he become an entertainer with his new powers), but is also capable of great anger and rage (such as his treatment of Cancer when the Decepticon Headmaster Jr. had been captured by the Autobotss. Or righteous fury when the Godmaster Brothers were hunting his fellow truckers).

Similar to the Primes of which his Transector shares an appearance, Ginrai possesses a sense of determination like nothing else. No matter how beaten he may be or how long the odds look, he will never, ever, give up in the battle against evil.

*Powers/Abilities: Ginrai on his own possesses strong, albeit growing leadership skills and fighting potential, and is a skilled long-haul truck driver. He speaks both English and Japanese.

By joining his Masterbracelets together and shouting “Masterforce,” Ginrai is able to summon a suit of white and red armor which enhances his strength and durability and, more importantly, enables him to (by shouting “Transform, God On!”) merge with and transform his Transector (in the form of a red truck cab) into robot mode, effectively becoming a robotic life form. Here, he has access to twin laser cannons, great strength, and the ability to harness Chōkon Power, typically through his fists, though he can also direct it through his weapons as “Atomic Fire Guts”, a blast of rolling flame.

Ginrai can also perform a “double on”, merging his transector with its trailer, forming a robot which is twice as big and several times more powerful, with two hand-held guns and twin shoulder-mounted double guns. He can further focus his Chokon Power to form the “Special Fire Guts.” In trailer mode, the trailer contains several guns of its own and can move under its own power.

In either robot form, he can tap into Chokon Power, which includes Chichōkon, the power of the Earth, Jinchōkon, the Power from within humanity, and Tenchōkon, the Power from the Stars. Godmasters are among the few beings in the universe able to tap into all three, though on Cybertron, Ginrai will probably be unable to tap into any Chichokon—at least at first, since it’s a planet other than Earth. This will reduce his overall power greatly.

Transectors have significant capacity for self-healing, wounds sometimes repairing directly after they’ve been inflicted. But at the same time, any injuries sustained by the Transector seem to translate into the human component. Heavy and repeated injuries can severely impair their ability to heal quickly.

Ginrai’s Transector’s trailer is also capable of transforming to a base-mode, with weapons and communications gear. He seems to have limited mental control over it (the trailer) when merged with his Transector.

*Inventory: Ginrai will be bringing his Masterbraces (since he can’t take them off), his Transector, and its trailer. (I’m also good with the trailer having to be found later)

*Starting Polarity: Prima would probably be best.

If AU, how does your character differ from canon?: (Non AU apps may ignore this question. CRAUs and OAUs should get in to specifics here regarding what changes there are from their character's original canon. We'll need at least a paragraph explaining details.)

Writing Samples
*First Person Sample:

[The video takes a moment to focus in, but when it does, it reveals a robot who looks extremely similar to Optimus Prime, though he seems entirely confused by the whole affair.]

Um… hello? This is all, ah, pretty confusing, no? And I thought I was in over my head before…

I don’t suppose Hawk is here, is he? Gold robot? With blue? Sometimes looks like a human? No? Greeeat.

I really don’t know what I can do here. I mean, I’ve apparently already got some kind of destiny, being a “Godmaster.” My Transector came from here, but this isn’t my planet. I barely know what I’m doing most of the time. Don’t see how I can help put a world back together.

But hey, if we’re stuck here together, might as well make the most of it, right?

*Third Person Sample:

There wasn’t much of what he’d call a road to speak of, but Ginrai put the medal to the metal of his truck and shifted, accelerating. It was why he’d left Japan for America in the first place, for the freedom of wide open spaces and to choose his own destiny.

And again that choice had been taken from him. First, when he’d found the Masterbracers and the Transector, becoming the first Autobot Godmaster, dragged into a war between the Autobots and Decepticons. And now, being brought here to Cybertron, the homeworld of those same Transformers. But not even theirs, as far as he could tell. New. Wild. Untamed.

It should have, in some ways, been a dream. But it wasn’t. He had responsibilities now. To Earth and to the Autobots. Even if it gave him a chance to escape Hawk’s hinting that he should take command, it meant that the Decepticons could well be running roughshod over the planet, hurting innocents. It could even mean that the other Godmasters could become prey to the Decepticons.

He slowed as he pulled up a hill, eventually putting on the break and exiting the cab and pulling off his helmet.

“I swore I would use my powers to help people,” he said, talking to himself. “Maybe this is where I’m supposed to be. Maybe this is what I’m supposed to use my powers to do.”

He looked out over the horizon for a moment, then finally shrugged. “Who knows?” He clenched a fist. “No. I know. It doesn’t matter where I am. My responsibilities are the same. To do whatever I can, wherever I am. That is how is must be.”

Final Notes: Just for simplicity’s sake, while I’ll use the Japanese oriented names for any of the characters from Masterforce itself (and Headmasters, if it comes up), because I’m largely use to the subbed version of the show, I’ll be using “Autobot” and “Decepticon” rather than Cybertron and Destron (and Optimus Prime, in lieue of “Convoy” if it comes up).

I’m also more than happy to make the trailer an eventual findable item somewhere in the Junkpile (I’d prefer he start with the Transector itself, but am not married to it if it best serves the game) and might, as a plot thing later on, be interested in having Godbomber built.
